The first decision the director and I made on this show was that
we wanted to create the type of space Frank Sinatra would perform
in if he were still alive: quiet, subdued, and very classy.
The result was a space which allowed for numerous variations in
lighting and projections, each designed to support an individual
song. The large sconces on each side of the archway could be lit
in three different ways, and the curtained background changed colors
accoring to the song. A rear-projected moon accented Sinatra's signature
song, "Strangers in the Night."
The three-piece combo was on the stage right side, while a piano-shaped
bar with overhead pendants provided the cast with a variety of staging
positions on the stage left side.

"George Ledo's shadowy nightclub set is enticing, complete
with bar, cocktails, and intimate tables with flickering candlelight."
